Charlottesville, VA, July 12, 2018 — Rael, a new feminine hygiene product line, is the latest company to join How2Recycle and will soon be labeling its product packaging.
Among other products by Rael, consumers will see the How2Recycle label on organic cotton pad packaging, which can be recycled at Store Drop-Off along with many items that people may not know are recyclable, such as the plastic wrap around paper towels and toilet paper, plastic film around dry cleaning, and plastic food storage bags. Recycling plastic bags, wrap and film help keep those items out of the landfill and can be recycled into things like park benches or composite lumber for decks. Rael is also the first e-commerce brand to join the program.
“Rael is among a new generation of brands that are putting sustainability at the core of business,” said Kelly Cramer, who leads How2Recycle at Sustainable Packaging Coalition. “To that end, it’s no surprise that the company is committed to empowering and informing women with transparent and accurate recycling labels for its packaging. We are very happy to welcome them to How2Recycle.”
