Foster Farms Joins How2Recycle Label Program

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA, JANUARY 8, 2018 — Foster Farms, the West Coast’s leading producer of fresh, all-natural chicken and turkey products, is now the latest company to join the How2Recycle® label program.

Consumers can expect to see the label on Foster Farms organic chicken and turkey product packages in stores now.

“Encouraging recycling of our product packages is one more way that Foster Farms promotes conservation and environmental sustainability,” said Bob Wolfe, Director of Sustainability Initiatives at Foster Farms. “As a longtime California food producer, we care about protecting our natural resources and reducing unnecessary waste. Partnering with How2Recycle allows our consumers and customers to quickly determine how our various product packages can be recycled responsibly.”

“Packaging that comes into direct contact with food can be difficult to know whether it’s compatible with recycling,” said Caroline Cox, project associate, How2Recycle. “We’re excited to welcome Foster Farms as the newest member of How2Recycle and provide clarity on recycling instruction to its customers.”
