How2Recycle Welcomes Happy Family Brands

Happy Family Brands, an organic baby and toddler food company, is the latest company to join the How2Recycle label program. Happy Family is a mom-founded and -operated company that makes a variety of foods for babies, toddlers, and children that are free of toxic persistent pesticides, chemical fertilizers, and genetically modified ingredients (GMOs).

“At Happy Family, we are committed to transparency across our entire business.  This means sharing more with parents about the ingredients in our organic foods, how we source our fruits, veggies and grains, and how parents can recycle and dispose of the packaging.  We’re excited to join How2Recycle in giving parents more information to make better decisions for the environment,” says founder and CEO Shazi Visram.

Happy Family Brands joins over 45 other companies who are using the label on products in stores nationwide.

“How2Recycle is excited to welcome Happy Family Brands to our growing list of member companies,” says How2Recycle Project Manager Kelly Cramer. “Its focus on a healthy family is a natural fit with our focus on a healthy environment. We look forward to seeing How2Recycle on their products for moms, babies, and kids”.

From five SKUs in five stores in 2006 to over 100 SKUs in national distribution, Happy Family continues to earn its place as one of the fastest growing baby food companies in the baby food aisle, as awarded by Fast Company in 2012 and 2013. Happy Family is headed up by founder, CEO and Chief Mom, Shazi Visram, who was honored as one of Babble’s 100 Moms who are changing the world and lauded by President Obama as "a rockstar of the new economy and a leader we can all emulate." Happy to Help, the brand’s social initiative, most recently partnered with The Small Things, an organization that helps orphans in Tanzania live a happy, healthy life, to build the Happy Family Children’s Village.
